Annual salary: up to £42,368.00 Commercial Gas Engineer Gillingham Travel is required across Kent Up to 42,368 per annum Full time - Permanent 42.5hrs per week Including Company vehicle and fuel card Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) provides a full range of in-patient and out-patient mental health services across Kent & Medway operating across numerous sites it includes services for older adults, forensic & specialist services and acute services. Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) employs around 5700 staff made up of community nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, podiatrists, dental staff and many other health care professionals and corporate services. The Trust is one of the largest community health providers in England, serving a population of approximately 1.4 million people across Kent, East Sussex and parts of London Boroughs. This Trust has 33 sites included in the contract. About the Role: Due to a new contract win we are seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. As a Commercial Gas Engineer within our Gillingham branch your main duties will be to carry out gas servicing and repairs and breakdowns to any emergencies within the NHS buildings that occur. The role is to rectify, repair or make safe as applicable. Testing equipment and appliances to ensure that they function and meet safety standards. Repair using problem-solving to address the issue. Assess risk and follow all safety regulations. Install gas appliances. Utilise the proper materials to make sure that the job can be completed properly. All work areas must be kept orderly to ensure the safety of yourself and customer. Gas safety checks, gas network tests. Compiling assets lists, condition reports. Compiling quotes for extra works. Repairing or replacing other Plant - i.e. Pumps, pipe work, tanks, FCUs, sinks, taps, actuators & valves Role Criteria Commercial gas qualified ACS certification for gas works City and guilds or gas service engineer standards Experience working as a gas engineer Knowledge and understanding of gas health and safety Experience working within a commercial setting Good written & verbal communication skills Team player and ability to work alone Knowledge of working in a critical NHS setting would be beneficial but not essential All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
