KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
An experienced and innovative technology leader, with the ability to operate at Executive level, who has previously defined and led IT strategy and understands all aspects of the IT landscape, including customer facing digital solutions (online, mobile, IOT), information systems (datawarehouse architecture, analytics & insights, business & reporting systems) and infrastructure architecture & service delivery (cloud platforms, networks, hardware, software and cyber-security). Experience of working in a regulated environment with knowledge of governance processes and data security requirements including ISO27001, GDPR and Data Security & Protection Toolkit. PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
As a member of the Executive Team, to work closely with the Managing Director and other senior leaders to define an information strategy that supports and enhances the commercial strategy of the business, putting information management at the forefront of company services and to provide effective business information for all departments.
With freedom to innovate, identify, evaluate and implement strategic information technology solutions, to enable the delivery of key products and services to customers and to optimise statistical efficiency and data quality in line with current business KPI’s and overall business strategy.
To build a proactive, collaborative, dynamic culture, bringing together the IT and Business Intelligence departments and creating an environment where people are motivated to achieve the desired results and develop the new IS Team to be capable of delivering the current and future Information Services needs of the company.
Take ownership and accountability of recruitment, appraisals and other staff matters for the IT and Business Intelligence departments in conjunction with the HR Department.
Use your technical expertise and industry knowledge to support all colleagues, sites, contracts and work cross functionally with other Executives to understand their IT and Business Intelligence requirements and advise on how technology can deliver business benefit and translate into working solutions
Ensure all business critical systems, services, tools and resources are kept current and up to date to maximise efficiency and support to the operation of the business.
Manage all local aspects of the SAP ERP system, including data configuration, timeous reports and the co-ordination and delivery of change requests with the group ERP team
Provide programme governance and oversee the delivery of all technology projects using a recognised, best practise approach to project management.
To deploy business analysis and data modelling techniques to evaluate, improve and test business process improvements
To build effective strong, professional working relationships with external IT suppliers and corporate specialists encouraging an ethos of exceeding expectations over and above agreed or implicit SLA’s.
