Liberty is a specialist heating services provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, it offers professional gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations and property building and maintenance services.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Legionella & Water Hygiene Lead, to work in the North West area. This role will mainly involve managing multi-disciplinary teams, across service, repair and installations within the Group. The right person for this role will have a solid background in Legionella water hygiene as well as the relevant qualifications.
Key responsibilities for this role are:
Compile, update and review the areas covered by risk assessments (domestic and process water)
Provide a schedule of legionella susceptible water systems
Arrange and review legionella risk assessments, ensuring every water system has a legionella risk assessment
Compile area of responsibility and ownership
Request new risk assessment when identified that the current LRA is no longer valid
Compile and review written scheme of work, upload into database for schedule prompts
Review monitoring records/ reports for legionella service provider and action
Review data and trend the findings to identify patterns in water quality
Ensure non-conformance is entered on the database and reported on client action system to initiate, track and close out
Attending contractor meetings
Requesting, tracking and closing out changes in PPM, new remedial work orders and project works
Ongoing site monitoring of H&S compliance including inspections and compliance checks
Producing risk and method statements
Experience and Qualifications:
Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification
A minimum of: C&G Certification Responsible Person Water, Demonstrate working experience of (HSG274 Part 2), HSE, Approved Code of Practice L8, Health Technical, Legionella Awareness, Water monitoring and Tank Inspection
Risk Assessment Appreciation, Memorandums and H&S at Work Act & Regulations - Appreciation and applicable qualifications
NEBOSH/IOSH managing safety (Desirable)
Excellent legionella, water treatment, water hygiene, chemical background
Ability to design and draft technical drawings and specifications (Desirable)
Experience in financial budgeting/ monitoring (Desirable)
Ability to carry out detailed site schematic drawings
Experience of supervising contracts and direct labour
Ability to issue instructions to contractors
Experience in working in a managerial/ team leader role
Experience in compiling detailed reports
Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
Ability to manage own time and workload
Experience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer service
