MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - PLUMBING, HEATING AND GAS
We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Technician (Plumbing, Heating and Gas) to join our Technical Services team.
In this role, you will attend call outs to guest accommodation as well as general buildings around the Village. You will carry out tasks to resolve maintenance issues, reporting any defects or issues which may cause future problems.
Other responsibilities will include undertaking inspections, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and assisting with any other general work as briefed by Technical Services Management.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills as you will regularly come into contact with both colleagues and guests. Trade experience is essential as technical knowledge will be required.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
One of the following qualifications is required along with suitable working experience in the relevant technical field:
Essential requirements:
- NVQ or SVQ in Engineering Maintenance and Installation in Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation Level 2&3 (refrigeration and air conditioning is desirable but not essential)
- Relevant Gas qualifications in the following disciplines CCN1 - Core Domestic Gas Safety and CENWAT - Domestic Central Heating Boilers
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable requirements:
Qualifications in the following:
- CKR1 - Gas Cookers
- MTR1 - Gas Meters
- HTR1 - Gas Fires
- Unvented Hot water Cylinders
- Water Regulations
