Reporting to the Director of Estates and responsible for a small team of plumbers and electricians, the Mechanical & Electrical Manager is responsible for the delivery, maintenance and on-going safety of the School's building services installations.
The successful candidate will work closely other members of the Estates Management Team on a range of projects including infrastructure upgrades, new capital developments, improvements and alteration work whilst also managing all servicing, planned and reactive maintenance work.
Experience in a similar role for both modern and historic buildings is highly desirable, as is a comprehensive knowledge of alarm systems, commercial plant, ventilation, electrical systems, fire, health & safety standards and building regulations. Applicants should hold a relevant trade qualification (electrical, gas or plumbing) or have Chartered Engineer Status in a specific discipline, be hard working, flexible and possess strong IT skills. A friendly and approachable manner with the ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines is also required.
