My client is a national Facilities Management provider who have a new vacancy for a Multi skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to work on a mobile basis working on various commercial contacts.
Within this role you will be responsible for carrying out all planned, preventative and reactive maintenance with additional minor works on gas, Plumbing and Mechanical systems as and when required within commercial premises.
You will be working on a mobile basis working on contract mainly covering the South Lanarkshire area.
Your main duties will include:
- Carrying out all planned preventative and reactive maintenance on heating, plumbing and commercial gas systems within commercial premises- ensuring all works carried out within agreed SLA s
- Carrying out repairs and attending breakdowns on heating, plumbing and commercial gas systems within commercial premises- which will include providing a call out response to be carried out within agreed SLA s.
- Diagnose faults and rectify these issues where possible.
- Ensure that all contractors are monitored on behalf of the client and that works are carried out correctly.
- Working in a client / customer facing environment, ensuring you remain professional at all times.
- Take a proactive approach to working in partnership with the client to ensure all concerns are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted on a weekly basis.
The successful candidate should have:
- SVQ Level 3 Service & Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Apprenticeship gained working within the FM / building services industry
- Holding valid commercial gas tickets
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Ability to work safely at all times and the ability to understand contract and Health & Safety requirements/regulations
- Holding BS 18th Edition would be advantages but not essential
- Experience / knowledge within BMS controls, control of Legionella, FGAS would be advantageous but not essential
- Happy to obtain a Disclosure Scotland

- Working as part of a 4 week shift rota: 3 weeks dayshift 8am 4:45pm and 1 week backshift 1:30pm 9:45pm (outwith summer holidays)
