We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary projects in a dynamic civil and structural department, at our client s site in Darlington, with occasional travel across the UK and internationally.
You will lead the design efforts on various engineering projects, ensuring top-notch design solutions from inception through to completion, in this full-time, permanent role.
You will possess excellent communication skills at all levels, with strong commercial and risk management awareness. Ideally a logical thinker with excellent time management abilities, proficient in using computer applications, and proven ability working independently while effectively leading teams.

Key responsibilities:
- Preparing technical evaluations, FEED and feasibility studies, and reviewing external contractor designs
- Developing conception to completion designs in challenging environmental conditions, for reinforced concrete tanks
- Creating CTR estimates, tracking progress, and overseeing project budgets
- Delivering cost-effective design solutions for EPC projects
- Maintaining high technical standards and performance within the team, managing design sub-contracts effectively
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering
- Design experience in heavy civil engineering, including for example oil/gas, bridges, water retaining structures, and nuclear project sectors
- Skilled in preparing detailed technical reports and documents
