Engineering Technician (Electrical)

Shift 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00
No Weekends
Salary Up to £41,200 (Inc Shift Allow)

Role Profile
Our client is looking to recruit a motivated individual who can work as an individual and as part of a team of flexible electrical and mechanical technicians, reporting to the Senior Engineer. This role involves days/afternoon shift work, dayproject/PPM work and being part of a call out rota.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Participate as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with other departments to improve performance and achieve objectives
  • Setting priorities from shift production teams guidance
  • Breakdown maintenance
  • Significant involvement in project, development and installation work
  • Carry out PPM
  • Ensure safe working of all plant and equipment within H&S requirements
  • Reacting effectively to minimise machine downtime, while executing PPM activities to increase machine availability and performance

Skills & Experience

  • High level of self-motivation and time management skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload around production requirements Flexibility with Shifts inc. overtime
  • Time served apprentice
  • Minimum ONC, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with maintaining production equipment ideally within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemicals
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with mobile plant
  • PLC Systems (preferably Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi)
  • Instrumentation Systems (Thermocouples, level control, Loop Control)
  • Inverter drive control
  • Gas Burner Control Systems
  • 3-phaseOverhead Crane Systems
  • General fault finding & diagnostics skills
  • 18thedition I.E.E regulations
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic Control Systems
  • FLT/MEWP Training
  • CMMS
