Senior C&I Engineer (Client side) - Staff - London

Location: London

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing Client energy business during a period of continued growth as they support the Renewable Energy sector.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Checking the quality of engineering contractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
  • Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
  • Checking of C&I calculations and specifications.
  • Responsible for engineering design and assessment in line with client expectations as well as supporting others within the team.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team with engineers to ensure ongoing benchmarking of overall project requirements.
  • Checking the quality of subcontractor design work to ensure compliance with agreed client design specifications.
  • Will be required to provide input into HAZOP / HAZIDs.
  • Fault analysis and reliability assessments; FMEA, FTA, HAZID and HAZOPs.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Must be degree qualified, chartered status desired but not essential.
  • Experience of designing C&I equipment, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries - downstream / refinery projects of particular interest.
  • Will ideally have experience working in a client side role.
  • Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
