Our client is a very successful supplier of special alloy components, supplying OEM s in the Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine sectors, with 70 years of industry leading experience.
Their development pipeline is maintained through dedicated planning, reviews and investment in employee training. We now have an opportunity for a Tooling & Dimensional Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering Team.
Annual Salary - circa £30,000

The Role:
Working alongside the experienced Manufacturing Engineering team the Tooling & Dimensional Engineer will:
Introduce tooling and dimensional processes that meet customer specification and AETC expectation.
Improve our dimensional process capability.
Tooling & Dimensional Engineer Requirements:
Promotion and introduction of safe working practices
Provide reports and statistical evidence to support dimensional validations and tolerance buy-offs
Tooling Specification and liaison with toolmakers
Tooling procurement
Runner system design and CAD Modelling
Preparation of component CAD models for Pattern Die Tooling
Gauge and fixture specification / procurement
Providing planning documentation
Continuous improvement of processes
Controlling tool modifications (cost / timing and technical control)
Defining internal dimensional process tolerances (IE wax w/t and CMM tolerances)
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Engineering Management
Candidate Requirements:
Engineering Degree Preferably in Mechanical Engineering
Good knowledge of 3D CAD Package Preferably in Siemens NX
Pay attentions to details
End-user Knowledge of ERP Software i.e. SAP
Good understanding of GD&T
Able to Read and Understand complex 2D drawings
Proficient in use of MS Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Good knowledge of Statistics
Good verbal and written communication skills across all level of business
Ability to work on and resolve complex problems
Unrestricted work eligibility in the UK Sponsorship is not available
Core days hours are as follows:
Mon/Tuesday 7.30am to 16.30pm Wed/Thurs 7.30am to 16.15pm Fri 7.30am to 12.00 noon
