Reed Scientific are currently working with a Lancashire based chemical company close to Blackburn who have an immediate vacancy for an analytical chemist with specific skills performing GC-MS analysis and then interpreting the results.

Duties of the role will include:

• Assist with the smooth running of the analytical department
• Prepare samples
• Carry out routine GC-MS analysis
• Analysis and interpretation of data/results
• Present results both internally and externally

Skills/Experience required:

• Chemistry related degree
• Laboratory experience - industry
• Analytical chemistry experience - gas chromatography and mass spectrometry
• Good laboratory skills
• Data analysis and interpretation
