Across our client's national Build to Rent portfolio, they are helping their clients with their duties under the Building Safety Act.
This position will be crucial in helping our client deliver this new service to their clients by ensuring all information and records are obtained, correct, and saved appropriately. Then working from a robust baseline of information, this role will help provide support and assistance to ensure our client's sites are compliant on an ongoing basis. This role will work across our client's existing portfolio as well as work on new instructions.Responsibilities:
- Collation of key building safety information (Fire, Structural, Resident engagement etc)
- Collation and maintenance of golden thread information for new and existing developments
- Assist in verifying all Regulation 38 information at point of building handover.
- Ensure all premises information boxes are collated, up to date and audited sufficiently.
- Help organise and run tenant engagement seminars, workshops and respond to queries.
- Help produce regular reports for clients and the wider business, on the progress of the building safety case production.
- Help facilitate our complaints and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Organise statutory inspections across the portfolio including FRA, HS, LRA, Gas Safety, LOLER, PSSR (etc)
- Collation and uploading of compliance certification to RiskWise portal.
- Ensure data integrity of compliance information on our portals / CAFM system.
- Produce monthly compliance data from the RiskWise portal.
- Set up new starters on the RiskWise portal and assist with their induction from a compliance perspective.
- Organise compliance-based training for onsite teams, keeping a training matrix up to date.
- Take ownership of key compliance workstreams during the mobilisation stage of onboarding new schemes
- Create and maintain our approved contractor list and help ensure we have coverage nationwide.
- Provide support to our site teams in helping them keep their sites compliant by conducting regular check in sessions.
- Undertake audits in relation to Fire Safety (England) Regs
- Liaise with local fire and rescue services.
- Follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with H&S regulations, organisational standards, and operational processes, ensuring the teams are fully trained and updated.
- Identify areas for improvement and offers suggestions and recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Always keep sensitive information highly confidential.
Experience:
- Have demonstratable experience in Building safety, H&S, compliance, building surveying or property management
- Have a formal qualification in safety (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH) and a history of continual professional development
- Have contextual knowledge of the changing landscape of building safety.
- Have good technical knowledge of the statutory requirements for operating a high rise residential building.
- Be detail orientated, being able to handle large amounts of data and present it in an easyto- understand format.
- Have a proactive and solution-based approach to finding any information that may be missing or incomplete.
- Have a passion for safety and protecting people.
- Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Be a motivational individual, who drives colleagues to succeed and improve.
- Be IT savvy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook), Riskwise (or other compliance tracking software)
