Reed Procurement are working with a company in Colchester to recruit a Buyer to their procurement and purchasing team. This Buyer position will be full time and permanent.
The Role -
Combined purchasing and internal sales role in a fast-paced office environment. Own transport is essential for travel to and from the workplace. This role would be suited to someone looking to gain valuable experience in the field of international trade and Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) purchasing.
Daily duties include: -
Obtaining pricing from suppliers.Manage day-to-day procurement-expediting of goods and services.Negotiating on price and terms of business.Preparing quotations for customers.Placing and handling purchase orders.General customer service-related duties.The Applicant -
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate confidence, a strong work ethic, and experience in a related role.
Product experience or technical knowledge of Valves (actuated and manual), flame arrestors, Tank Protection, Failsafe Equipment, Metering systems, Pipes, Seals, Gaskets and Process Water Treatment would be advantageous.
Any experience in either an Engineering or Logistics industry along with foreign language skills may be of benefit.
