We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist - Milling to join a growing national business with global capacity producing high end and high grade applications parts for a range of industries including Oil & Gas and Upstream to name a few.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Set-up and operate CNC machines.
  • Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
  • Self-inspection of their own work.
  • Preventative & General maintenance checks.
  • Ensure all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times

Competencies

  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to set and operate CNC machines - Mill turn
  • Ability to edit and prove out CNC programs.
  • Ability to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.)
  • Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with a can do attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated

Accountabilities & Performance Measures

  • Produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience operating CNC machines.
  • Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar.
  • Fanuc or Mazatrol are advantageous.
