Shorterm group are currently working with a reputable company in the manufacturing of high-quality, precision components for various industries including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Defence. Due to growth, they are seeking two experienced CNC Turners to join our expanding engineering team.As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating turning machines, writing new programs, editing pre-written programs, and performing in-process inspections using measuring equipment. You will also be producing one-off and low- to medium-volume precision parts in a range of metals. you need to be able to com in and hit the ground running. Key experiences include:Experience in programming, setting and operating turning machinesWriting new CNC programs long hand at the machineAbility to read engineering drawings and standardsExperience with in-process inspection using measuring equipmentexperience with Fanuc preffered.Confident in working on parts up to 300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.2 axis experience preferred.Shift: Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am. holiday: 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas PeriodSalary: £35,000 per year with the shift allowance it would come out as £46,655 per year,The package also includes a permanent full-time position, a government pension scheme, a health care scheme, excellent working conditions, and free onsite parking.If you meet the qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please contact to apply or learn more about the opportunity.
