Skanska Building Services provides complete Facilities Management of schools, colleges, and universities throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.
We are looking for a Commercial Gas/Heating Engineer to join facilities team on a long term contract, servicing 4 Schools within the Bristol area.
The purpose of the role will be to carry out mechanical and combustion servicing on all associated gas fired boiler and heating plant, Planned Preventative Services and Reactive Works in time and up to date where required over 4 School sites in Bristol.

We are looking for a Commercial Gas/Heating Engineer to join facilities team on a long term contract, servicing 4 Schools within the Bristol area.
The purpose of the role will be to carry out mechanical and combustion servicing on all associated gas fired boiler and heating plant, Planned Preventative Services and Reactive Works in time and up to date where required over 4 School sites in Bristol.
You'll
- Perform planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance tasks and reactive works investigations/repairs on, but not limited to, the commercial gas fired systems on site
- Service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to the building services gas fired plant and equipment
- Carry out repairs, modifications and installations of plumbing, heating systems and hot/cold water services in copper, plastic, mdpe, black iron and galvanised pipe using soldering, braising, welding, pressfit and compression methods of fitting
- Where required undertake and implement minor capital works projects
- Implement & comply with the procedures as detailed in the companies IMS, Health & Safety Policies and Statutory obligations
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (including recognised apprenticeship) with a commercial gas / heating bias
- Gas Safe registered qualification for commercial gas installations and maintenance
- Someone able to fully satisfy an enhanced DBS security check.
