The opportunity
The Conventional Safety Compliance Lead plays a key role in supporting the station occupational health and safety management system by assessing compliance with legal and other requirements. You'll be providing conventional safety compliance process ownership on station, including advice and leadership to the management team.
You'll be influencing the station approach to conventional safety through setting strategy for Conventional Safety Compliance improvements and driving the delivery of Conventional Safety Compliance interventions at stations.
Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £84,892 and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. This is a full time, site-based position.

What you'll be doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a risk-based evaluation of the compliance programme, reporting on results as required
- Ensuring effective corrective action is taken to address identified shortfalls.
- Working closely with peers around the nuclear fleet and the Conventional Safety Compliance Lead in our Central Services team, to ensure the organisation is proactive in ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintaining the station Key Risk Tool
- Reporting on the results of the evaluation of compliance programme
- Maintaining knowledge and awareness of upcoming changes to legislation.
Who you are
As a minimum, you'll need an HNC (or Level 4 equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject, as well as previous experience in an industrial safety post. Knowledge and understanding of AMS and of the EDF AGS process is desirable, although these can be acquired once in post. Previous supervision and leadership experience is advantageous.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
