Working hours: Monday to Friday (08:00am - 17:00pm), overtime/weekend working required as necessary

The Company specialise in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Heavy Engineering, Renewables and Civil & Infrastructure markets, transporting and moving difficult loads UK & Worldwide. They operate from their 5-acre site in Halifax, 10-acre site in Goole & 6-acre site in Grangemouth.
Driver Trainer & Assessor - The Role:
The appointment will enjoy a varied work load and will have opportunity to help grow and develop their own skills within the Company in the various divisions of the company, contributing to the Company's development and their own prospects for promotion.
Driver Trainer & Assessor - Key Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the Compliance team, this appointment will report directly to the Compliance Director, and assist in the delivery of all Training duties, the role will be predominately based at the Head office in Halifax although work at to our other depots and regular driver assessments will be required, this role is integral to the future success of the department
- We have a Training regime and recording process for all of the employees, including an in house / external training centre for all types of training provided by the company. The successful candidate will be required to actively participate in the development of the training facility
- Flexibility in the working week is required, as driver assessments may facilitate early starts / late finishes, the undertaking of driver CPC training is /can be undertaken on weekends (usually Saturdays)
- Undertaking driver CPC training sessions
- Undertaking Driver Assessments (previous experience preferred)
- Maintaining documentary evidence of internal / external training undertaken
- Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience within the Logistics, Road haulage or Heavy Lifting industry (preferred but not essential)
Driver Trainer & Assessor - You:
Experience Required:
- Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Recognised Teaching Qualification
- Experience of delivering training programs / developing training courses
- Previous experience of undertaking vocational assessments (ideally holding formal assessment qualification)
- Having previously undertaken driver CPC training
- Demonstrates a high level of competence and awareness of documentation, recording and reporting
- Knowledge of IT windows-based systems i.e. word, excel, PowerPoint
- Full UK Driving Licence holder (Cat B minimum, C+E would be advantageous)
Preferred Experience:
- Previously undertaken LGV Driver Assessments
- Formal Assessors Qualification
- FORS Approved Safe Urban Driving trainer
- Holding FORS Practitioner Qualification
- Manual Handling Trainer
- JAUPT Approved trainer
