Position: Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Field Engineer. Job Type: PermanentLocation: Garelochhead /Home Based (Hybrid with Travel to Sites across Scotland) Salary: £55,000 The Role:
- You will be responsible for a number of EC&I Engineering tasks, the job entails being the technical expert in areas of instrumentation, control, functional safety and electrical, assisting and providing first line maintenance of the ATG / BPCS & safety systems, management of OEM service providers, development of scopes of work and overseeing contract engineers or consultant companies, who conduct and implement engineering activities. There will be a need to build strong credible working relationships with all internal stakeholders and in particular HSEQ, other Engineering colleagues as well as with external stakeholders.
- Comply with The Fundamental Principles of the organisation in everyday activities.
- Be a key contributor to the Asset Technical Team to support the team to meet the project and team objectives.
- Ensure EC&I Engineering activities are completed and are fully compliant with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.
- Manage own time and resources to ensure well controlled, compliant with the Working Time Regulations and meet responsibilities for health and safety.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Consistently maintain a professional approach in day-to-day activities.
- Report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Maintain high standards of probity and confidentiality.
- Deputise for the ECI Senior Engineer when required.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of EC&I projects during the installation, commissioning handover phases of projects.
- Assisting the Electrical Authorised Person in the execution of his duties on an ad hoc basis
- Develop EC&I scopes of work.
- Contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts for work.
- Manage documentation/data/records within document management systems.
Experience required:
- Working knowledge of COMAH, MOC, and CDM regulations.
- Previous experience of working within MAH environments.
- Previous experience of managing multiple site works.
