My client are a dynamic and forward-thinking energy company committed to delivering innovative solutions to our customers. With a focus on sustainability and excellence, they are expanding their operations into the gas market and seeking a talented Energy Supply Manager to lead this initiative.
Position Overview:
The Energy Supply Manager will play a key role in managing the energy supply business and spearheading their expansion into the gas market. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing invoice management, performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, service provider management, portfolio risk management, and business development. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of energy markets, and a proven track record of success in managing energy supply operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Management: Work closely with the data team to ensure invoice accuracy and update calculations according to charging conventions. Collaborate with the billing team to manage invoice distribution effectively. Performance Management: Develop and maintain tools to monitor the financial and operational performance of the supply business. Ensure costs are accurately passed through to customers and report on performance to senior management. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with supply license conditions (SLCs) and liaise with regulatory authorities such as Ofgem/REC regarding information requests. Service Provider Management: Collaborate with managed service providers to delegate tasks and monitor performance, particularly in areas such as meter registration processes. Portfolio Risk Management: Understand and track financial risks associated with the supply portfolio. Work with the wider team to develop strategies for managing these risks effectively. Business Development: Contribute to the development of strategies to expand the supply business to new industrial customers. Identify opportunities to enhance product offerings and strengthen the company's brand.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in energy supply management or related field. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of energy markets and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage relationships with service providers and regulatory authorities. Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to business development initiatives. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
