We are currently looking for a site-based operational Technical Supervisor to join our team on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for for delivering a range of work streams including carrying out installations, improvements, and responsive and planned maintenance. Directly managing up to 20 operatives and engineers, taking responsibility for delivering the gas boiler install programme and related maintenance services to customers and clients across various contracts.About UsBD Group was created by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to create positive economic, environmental and social change. What we are looking for:Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in a trade discipline.
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme.
  • HNC/ONC (or equivalent) in Building (preferred).
  • Gas Safe Registered in works types domestic servicing and installation (preferred).
  • Gas Safe Registered in works types of commercial boilers servicing and installation (preferred).
Experience:
  • Experience of Local Authority or a related field of work, and preferably gained working within a DLO or contractor environment.
  • Experience of working at a managerial level and of managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of working within a highly commercialised environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and managing change initiatives to support organisation objectives.
  • Proven experience of leading and applying continuous improvement practices to improve service user outcomes.

  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organisation skills and ability to multitask.
