Key Responsibilities:
Gas Transport Manager - Lutterworth - Up to 55,000
Our client, who are a leading European haulier in the fuel industry are looking for a Gas Transport Manager to join their team in Lutterworth. (You will be required to travel to other locations)
You will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and other cryogenic and pressurized gases to their customers.Job type: Permanent - Full time

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and promote a safe working environment
- Training and supervising the transport staff and drivers on the proper handling and storage of cryogenic and compressed gases
- Planning and scheduling driver and vehicle resources according to customer demand and delivery deadlines
- Monitoring and tracking vehicles and drivers' performance using GPS and other systems
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory standards, and policies
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or problems that may arise during the transport process
- Evaluating and improving the transport performance and efficiency
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with Transport Planning and Fleet team to ensure smooth running of Operations
- Monitor and report on transportation costs
- Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment
- Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods
- Conduct regular safety audits on equipment
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
- Stay up to date with safety regulations
- At least five years of experience in cryogenic and/or compressed gas transport is essential
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a transport environment
- Expert understanding of relevant driver legislation: Working Time Directive, Tachograph Legislation
- Relevant Logistics / Supply Chain qualification or equivalent experience
- International Transport Managers CPC is desirable but not essential
- Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
