A global advisory organization, specializing in high-risk engineering operations, is seeking a dynamic individual to assume the pivotal role of Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). This position is of paramount importance to the organization and demands a leader capable of exerting influence and providing guidance across diverse geographical locations and hierarchical levels. We require a strategic professional with a proven track record of leadership across multiple countries.

The Role

  • Collaborate with key leaders to drive the continuous enhancement of the organisation's HSE performance.
  • Exercise leadership and influence, both in person and remotely, to ensure that stakeholders understand their roles in shaping a successful HSE management approach.
  • Act as the organisation's technical expert, offering consistent guidance and support.
  • Lead an existing global HSE team, fostering their development and optimising their performance.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role possesses:

  • Demonstrated leadership acumen, preferably on a global scale.
  • Experience in any high risk industry: engineering, construction, infrastructure, marine, oil & gas
  • The ability to influence effectively in complex environments at all organisational levels.
  • A proven track record in the development of successful HSE programs, accounting for local laws and regulations.
  • Ideally, a degree qualified and hold relevant qualifications in Health and Safety.
