We are looking for an Inspector in North West UK. Close to Newcastle.

Minimum of 4 years gas industry experience.

Has worked on a minimum of three major UK gas construction projects.

Understanding of wayleaves, easements, crop compensation, drainage claims/disputes and associated land related issues

Knowledge & experience of legal consent / acquisition requirements

Knowledge & experience of Local Authority planning process and requirements

Able to describe procedures to follow during Contact with external Agencies/ HSE/ E.A./ Land own/ third party liaison.

Knowledge & experience of CPO procedure.

Has experience of working in line with and ISO14001 system
-
Has experience of working with and implementing Project Environmental Management Plans.

Has experience in supporting the production of Environmental Impact Assessments for gas pipelines and AGIs.

Has experience in the land acquisition and easement planning/consent process.

Holds a current E&USR safety passport.

Understands and has experience of the Northern Gas Networks PTW / FOA / NRO systems.

Has experience in obtaining and interpreting new legislations and its impact on gas specific projects relating to land issues and landowner liaison.
Can demonstrate experience of the following legislation as a minimum:
- Environmental Protection Act (EPA)
- Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc) Regulations
- Town & Country Planning Act
- Land Drainage Act
- Water Act
- Planning Act
- Control of Pollution Act
- Environment Act
- National Parks & Access to the Countryside Act
- Countryside and Rights of Way Act
- Forestry Act
- Groundwater Regulations
- Hedgerow Regulations
- Control of Pesticides Regulations
- Groundwater Regulations"
