M&E Project Manager focused on delivering decarbonisation schemes on commercial property.
Your new company
My client is a local authority based in South Wales and you will be reporting to the Group Leader of Energy & Climate. They are responsible for managing the decarbonisation agenda of commercial properties within the borough.
Your new role
My client is looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager, preferably with experience managing sustainability schemes, such as replacing gas fire boilers with ASHP's to council assets, roof mounted PV solar arrays, installing EV charging stations on sites, and replacing low energy internal light fittings for the commercial portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed
Hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, possess experience of managing M&E projects on commercial property, hold knowledge of the latest industry standards and regulations including CDM and contractual administration, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong organisational and project management skills. Have experience collating relevant core data from sites for initial design development, managing external designers and assisting in the development of tender pack documents including CDM plans. Assist with procurement of contractors and manage any contractor-led design portions and ensure any outstanding planning applications are made and consent obtained by contractors, manage the interface between the council's site staff and contractors, assist with JCT & NEC contract management, and act as clerk of works for these projects.
