Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week

What you will be doing :

You will be responsible for the creation of component/assembly/systems designs and associated through life justification that meet their requirements and product attributes, i.e. life, cost availability and safety margins. Additionally you will:

  • shall create solutions and justifications that are robust against variation, taking account the full life cycle (concept to disposal).
  • have an understanding of and ability to integrate cross-discipline engineering concepts which include manufacturing engineering, service engineering, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics,

Who we are looking for :

  • Ideally, you will have experience in one of the above disciplines, but this does not need to be limited to Submarines.
  • It is preferable that you are Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial.
  • External Skills/Experience can be from industries such as Civil Nuclear, Marine, Petro-Chemical and Oil & Gas.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
