2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a supplier of products for the oil and gas industry, to recruit the new NDT Technician for their Stockport site on a permanent contract. The organisation, who are seeking a qualified, skilled and talented NDT Technician to join their team have experience on a global scale, with innovation and investment into new technology.
- Salary circa £35k (NEG depending on experience & skills)
- Days only, Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm & Fridays 7am to 1pm.

The NDT Technician will report to the Technical Manager and be responsible for inspecting materials by using a variety of Non-Destructive Evaluation techniques. You will be committed, with good communication skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines, write reports and make valuable decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage NDE consumables and calibrated equipment.
- To perform in-house and on-site NDT techniques as required by the customer, travel is expected.
- Ensure materials are inspected and released with no Non-Conformance Reports.
- Using Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing / Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/LPT/DPT) and Ultrasonic testing (UT) methods to ensure material is inspected and released with no NCRs.
We re extremely keen to talk to Non Destructive Testing / Examination / Evaluation Technicians or Inspectors that have:
- You must have a valid PCN Level 2 NDT registration in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPT) and Dye Penetrant Testing / Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/LPT/DPT) as a minimum.
- Experience/certifications with Ultrasonic testing (UT) is highly advantageous but is not essential.
- Have the ability to read and understand NDT specifications and procedures.
- Competent with reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
