Techniche Global are supporting an International Oil & Gas Technology and Engineering specialist to appoint a Project Manager responsible for leading the Company's Projects (as assigned) with full commercial responsibility. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, and you will manage a small team of engineers.Salary: £60-65k depending on experienceLocation: Malton, Yorkshire- 100% onsiteDuration: perm roleKey Responsibilities: Overall Commercial responsibility and accountability for the execution of assigned project(s). Be the prime interface with the customer dealing with commercial issues, reporting progress and managing the schedule. To set the project plan(s) and ensure the on-time execution and delivery of the Project To report to the Operations Manager on planning, scheduling, project resource requirements, risk (project and business risk) and financial forecasting Initiate client visits (where required) to maintain client relations and ensure project deployment in accordance with client expectation Capture scope changes & contract variations and work with the Operation Manager to agree any offer and negotiate with the client. To ensure cash intake and project budgets are maintained, ensuring a high level of company chargeable hours are being booked i.e. ensuring the project team(s) are working efficiently and effectively To monitor and report all project milestones including advance ordering process, design freeze and client approval To ensure all contracts are maintained and executed in line with the Company's business flow model, standard operating procedures and quality systems. Be responsible for the management/supervision of staff which will include motivating, training and appraising To motivate the project team and monitor individual tasks working towards project deliverables. To manage and oversee document control and transmittals on allocated projects Ensure contract documents are delivered in accordance with the agreed SDRL and client expectations (by giving Approval) To work in cooperation with Project Engineering, Workshop / Test and Quality to ensure projects are implemented to client specification To recognise and mitigate project risks or otherwise notify the Operations Manager where risk is deemed to be outside of your sphere of influence To deputise in the absence of other Project Managers Provide support to the sales team to assist with the generation of commercial offers, etc. including generation of detailed plans and comments & exceptions. Conduct regular project meetings with the Lead Engineer and/or project team Prepare and present regular project reports (at least monthly) both internally and to the customer. Conduct and lead project close out sessions ensuring that lessons learnt, and feedback are communicated as necessary Demonstrate leadership and commitment in promoting compliance with company quality and HS&E procedures. To work in accordance with the Company's standard operating procedures. Possess key decision-making skills and an ability to effectively communicate information to both internal and external customers. Ability to lead a team and work as a team member Good communication in English language (verbal & written) along with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Strong negotiating, influencing and motivating skills Ability to delegate where appropriate Commercially astute Ability to build good customer relations Methodical organised, with excellent planning & time management skills Effective problem-solving skillsQualifications and Experience: Educated to Degree level in an engineering discipline or HNC/HND may be acceptable, or equivalent relevant engineering / Project experience Experience and working knowledge Multi discipline Project within the Oil & Gas industry Relevant project management training e.g. Prince2, with Membership in the PMI (APM) is desirable In depth (demonstrable) knowledge of the whole project lifecycle Experience of managing international Projects and working knowledge of dealing with Contractual matters Experience of working in a direct customer facing role Computer literacy: Microsoft Project & Office: outlook, word and excel (minimum)
