About the Role
Base Location: Glasgow, Perth, or Aberdeen.
Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Scotland England Green Link project portfolio will play a critical role in the achievement of the UK's net zero targets, connecting the low carbon electricity resources in the north of Scotland to demand centres in the south.
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager for Control and SCADA to manage the delivery of the Converter Control and SCADA, ensuring that all project discipline engineering activities are executed within budget and schedule with technical excellence.
The responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Review and report on design, commercial and construction activities related to the onshore works for Control, Protection and SCADA ensuring these comply with CDM, NGET and SSEN-Transmission processes.
- Build effective relationships with contractors, to ensure that specification for Protection, Control and SCADA is delivered consistently and safely at both ends of the HVDC link.
- Deliver commercial responsibilities, ensuring that the Employers requirements are met through the detailed engineering phase, with clear programme goals.
- Continuously seek to deliver improvements in Protection and Control associated layers of protection; maintain critical process data storage whilst ensuring Fire and Gas protection control and SCADA meets requirements.
-Interface with discipline engineering teams (Mechanical, Civil and Structural) and wider teams (O&M, TO Control Rooms) to deliver robust infrastructure design and that the project meets specifications for both network design and digital security measures.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- In depth, demonstrable experience in design and development of capital projects, this may be from Transmission, Oil/Gas or major infrastructure projects.
- Thorough knowledge of DCS, ESD, Fire & Gas and SCADA systems generally incorporated in major infrastructure projects is essential.
- Commercial experience in estimating resourcing and materials accurately.
- Project and/or Operations experience in Control, SCADA and Protection project delivery as well as Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, operator interface systems and instrumentation from major suppliers.
- Relevant engineering Degree preferred, or HNC/D with proven experience as an engineer within an applicable design environment.
