Sulzer UK are looking for a QC Inspector to join and strengthen the team at Alba Power in Scotland.

Alba Power has an award-winning and global team that is passionate about delivering to our customers around the world. We are the leading Independent Service Provider for overhauling ex-Rolls Royce Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Responsible to the Chief Inspector for the Inspection activities required in the Alba Power Workshop
Inspect and measure engine components upon return from vendors using calipers, gauges, micrometres & various other measuring equipment.
Ensuring that Engine parts, materials, and equipment, which pass through his/her control, are inspected, and handled in accordance with company operating standards.
Ensuring documentation from vendors is accurate and up to company standards.
Communicating with vendors, engineering & various other departments in the company.
Final sign off inspection of components prior to final build.
Assist with Controlling the workshop Control Order Files and support documentation.
Assist with the provision of certificates of conformity for all materials being issued to and purchased by Customers

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Previous experience of GQC Inspection processes and procedures.
Experience with using calipers, gauges, micrometres & various other measuring equipment.
Working knowledge of industrial gas turbines and/or power turbines and associated equipment (preferred)
Flexible approach, team player and ability to work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
High level of attention to detail
