Collet & Sons Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join the team.

Location: Goole (flexibility is required)

Salary: Competitive + Benefits (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (overtime/weekend working required)

Collett & Sons Ltd is a successful family owned Company, established since 1928. Originally founded as a Transport Company, it has developed in to a multi-modal operator & has been set in to 4 closely run Divisions to reflect the diverse nature of the business and clients it serves. The 4 Divisions are integrated between each other which allow a 'One stop shop' service.

The Company specialise in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Heavy Engineering, Renewables and Civil & Infrastructure markets, transporting and moving difficult loads UK & Worldwide. They operate from their 5-acre site in Halifax, 10-acre site in Goole & 6-acre site in Grangemouth.

Senior Project Manager - The Role:

The appointment will enjoy a varied work load and will have opportunity to help grow and develop their own skills within the Company in the Transport, Heavy Lift and Projects divisions, contributing to the Company's development and their own prospects for promotion.

Senior Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:

- Working as senior project manager within the 'projects' team, this appointment will report directly to the Project Director of the company

- You will be leading the Projects Team with the delivery of innovative, high-quality, cost-effective transportation and/or installation designs and safe solutions for our clients

- Ensure all project managers and Engineers from the project team, are working effectively and efficiently, ensuring all projects are undertaken to agreed timescales and within agreed budgets

- Ensure the timely production of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), operations programs, and specialist equipment lists and requirements for both proposals and the execution of projects works

- Ensure the contract documentation produced by all the Projects and Engineering team comply with all current statutory regulations, customer and company procedures

- Ensure engineering design drawings, design calculations, rigging studies, and specialist equipment requirements are adhered to for both proposals and the execution of works

- Time management of the company's projects team, to ensure all timescales are met

- Ensure the team plan the movement of Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AIL's), including obtaining required permits and undertaking route surveys in a timely manner

- Attend site when required for the execution of the project, collaborating and supporting clients and projects teams in the completion of the project, including project program, engineering and SHEQ issues

- Provide technical support to the projects team and ensure the team respond to issues on site in a professional and timely manner

- Develop the Project Manager's role, leading the Project Team and being ultimately responsible of all aspects of the Project, either technical, budgetary, SHEQ, logistics, schedule, etc

Senior Project Manager - You:

Experience Required:

- Creative problem solving

- Excellent IT and Word/Excel skills

- Good communication skills and ability to converse at all levels

- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

- Contract management experience

- Team leadership skills

- Full Driving Licence

Preferred, but not essential:

- Previous employment in an associated employment sector

- Transport Managers CPC or Logistics experience

- Heavy Lifting/Rigging/Crane experience

- Flexible and willing to learn

- Effective communicator at all levels

- Excellent organisational ability

- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

- Being self-motivated is important, as well as being a good communicator, you will be organised with a detailed focused in your work

- You must have the aptitude for learning new techniques and procedures and enjoy solving customer engineering requests quickly with clearly defined solutions

- Ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded

- Ensuring all work carried out is in line with customer requirements and any extra work needed is authorised by the customer

- You must be able to work as part of a team with colleagues but take responsibility for their work and represent the Company in front of the client base

- Must be available to work away from base at short notice for short periods of time, cope with unconventional working patterns as required
