In this role you will be able to:

  • Utilise your expertise to design and analyze subsea structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Take a lead role in managing subsea structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Develop your knowledge and skill by working closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, offshore construction teams, and project managers to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments related to subsea structural engineering projects, identifying potential challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Showcase your eye for detail when you implement and adhere to rigorous quality assurance and control processes to guarantee the integrity and safety of subsea structures.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design reports, calculations, and specifications, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements, provide technical support, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

The suitable candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a suitable STEM subject.
  • 2-10 years of relevant experience in subsea structural engineering for the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS) and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as API, ISO, and DNV.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
