COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Support professional seeking to develop within an established, highly successful and growing independently branded company, and part of Global organisation, (employing staff on both sides of the Atlantic) and involved in the design and manufacture of specialist systems. The facility in Gateshead supports a worldwide customer base and has product design, operational, sales and support departments dedicated to fulfilling the needs of customers.
The successful candidate will provide prompt UK & European technical support primarily via remote troubleshooting / contact (based out of their Gateshead office) for a portfolio of products manufactured or marketed by the company, for the compressed air & gas purification markets. The role involves remote troubleshooting of technical issues and providing remedial and long-term solutions in keeping with the high level of customer support synonymous with our client.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Point of contact for product technical/application issues providing a response within an agreed timeframe
- Work with customers to troubleshoot technical issues and provide remedial actions or solutions to keep the product operational and the customer happy
- Be available to travel to the customer s site if necessary
- Work with the Engineering teams if needed, across various manufacturing units, to undertake root cause analysis, provide corrective actions and feedback to aid product development
- Produce site visit or technical reports covering issues and actions taken to resolve the problem Raise and execute potential warranty claims in line with the company warranty policy
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, as the role will involve travel.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Must have experience gained in a Customer focused Technical / Product Support role
- Must possess knowledge / experience relating to compressed air systems
- Knowledge / experience of gas purification systems / markets would be an advantage
- Some mechanical, electrical and/or pneumatic system experience would also be an advantage
- Customer focused with a desire to respond to requests or technical issues in a timely manner and provide a high level of customer service
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple technical support issues, with limited supervision However training and continued support will be given
- Analytical thought process and a good problem solver
- Good communicator (both verbally and written) with the ability to produce clear reports as required
- Hands on experience with the ability to work on / repair or be trained to work on compressed air treatment and gas generation products
- Computer Literate Microsoft office applications
DETAILS OF PACKAGE
Salary from £40,000 to £45,000 PA (Depending on experience) + PR Bonus (Up to 8%) + Flexible working around start and finish times (details negotiable) + Benefits (39 Hour week) 07 00 Mon Thurs / 07 00 Fri
NB: PR Bonus eligibility on completion of probationary period.
