We are recruiting for a engineering firm situated in the essex are. Our client specialises in structural steel and have a proven track record of a wide range of bespoke engineering projects ranging in various sizes across various sectors.

We are looking for experienced and proven Welder Fabricators from a strong MIG welding background to join their expanding and growing team.

Sucessful candidates would be working acorss 4 sectors:

Duties

• To carry out Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding welding steel 5mm-30mm+
• Understand and implement fabrication and engineering drawings
• Highlight potential errors prior to fabrication
• Mark out / Tack Weld ready for checking by the group chargehand
• Fabricate products using various machines and power tools
• Produce accurate work and examine work pieces for possible defects
• Working to production targets to ensure company deadlines are met
• Working with structural or architectural products is desirable
• Operate safety equipment and use safe working habits at all times
• Other duties appropriate to the level of this role

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ in Fabrication or Welding
• Demonstrable Multi-skilled fabrication experience
• Proven experience in MIG welding and thick metals
• Excellent understanding of welding codes and standards
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good use of initiative
• Efficient prioritisation skills
• Full understanding of health & safety and safe work behaviors

Hours

• Monday - Friday - 7:30am - 4:00pm
