Education:

People who want to work in Oil and Gas production area require upper second class honours degree in a relevant subject as a minimum. Suitable degrees for this industry are geophysics, physics, math, electrical engineering, petroleum engineering, geochemistry, structural engineering, computer science, among other courses. These courses generally require three A levels/five H grades and five GCSE´s/S grades (A-C/1-3) including English, Math, and a science subject.

Engineers can obtain a chartered engineer status by achieving a successful professional review with an interview, completing a period of initial professional development, having an accredited MEng degree, and gaining a corporate membership of a professional body such as the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
